ASTON SMALL BUSINESS GROWTH PROGRAMME
At the end of February, Emma was delighted to be selected for the Aston Small Business Growth programme. Similar to the Goldmann Sachs programme, it is aimed at small businesses that expect high growth in the next 3 years.
It is an intensive 3 month programme and Emma has been attending weekly sessions at Aston on running a small business, including finance, marketing, business planning and much more. In addition, she has weekly sessions with a mentor who challenges, inspires and champions her.Most of the people on the programme have been running their businesses for 3 years or more.
Whilst Emma ran her previous business for 18 months and Jude ran hers for 3 years, The Leadership Whisperers was only formally launched at the beginning of this year so there is substantial work to be done.
Since January, we’ve written our business plan, marketing plan, financial targets, designed the logo and branding, launched the website, as well as continuing to deliver to our existing clients! It has certainly been a busy start to the year.
This is a challenging programme that stretches Emma and our business and we are excited to see how it will impact us in future. It is definitely keeping both of us on our toes! We’ll keep you posted.
