HORSES PITCH UP IN BIRMINGHAM
On Monday this week. Emma completed the Aston Business School Growth Programme.
The final part of the programme involved pitching our 3 year growth plan to over 40 people, including an External Investors Panel, the Aston Programme Team and the rest of the Cohort.
Early on in the programme, Emma set the intention that the horses would be with her. Everyone said she was crazy. She worked with Aston Business School and Birmingham Cathedral and made it happen. When you are clear about your intention and take decisive action, the impossible can become possible.
On Monday, we turned up at Birmingham Cathedral with Hermi and Rchi, Emma’s competition horses, and Emma pitched in the grounds of the cathedral with the horses in the background. It was bold and courageous. Both Emma and I were out of our comfort zones. Normally I would do the pitching and Emma would manage the horses. This time, roles were reversed. Our leadership skills were stretched to the max. That’s what we ask our clients to do when they work with horses and we role model this in our lives too.
Hermi and Rchi were incredible. Since they travel regularly, they are used to turning up at new places. Once they get their bearings and see the grass, they are happy.
